Memorial Day = Game Day
Today is Memorial Day and what better way to spend it than at a baseball game?! And not just any baseball game...I went to a Yankees game! It was sunny and hot, just the way this tiger likes it. I had a hot dog and got ice cream in a cool souvenir baseball helmet cup. It fits perfectly! Because it's Memorial Day, I made sure to tell some of the service men and women around the park how much I appreciate them.

Cool. Navy sailors. The on on the left is a First Class Petty Officer, and on the right is a Third Class.
ReplyDeleteOff the top of my head both have Good Conduct Medals, both have Expert Rifleman, and the 1st Class has Expert Pistol as well.
The white-green-white ribbon the 1st Class is sporting is the Navy Marine Corps Commendation award - pretty heavy stuff. The orange-green-orange is the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the three stars on it means he has been awarded it 4 times!
